Agreement to Terms
By downloading or using Just Start ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Description of Service
Just Start is an iOS productivity app for starting tasks and returning to recent work. It provides focus timers, progress tools, bundled ambient sounds, and optional AI help and account sync. AI suggestions and check-ins are automated messages, not a live person, coach, or medical service. Internet access and service limits apply to AI and account features. Current device compatibility appears on the App Store listing.
Free and Pro Features
The App offers both free and paid (Pro) features:
- Free: Up to three focus sessions and three AI task requests per day, core progress tools, and three ambient sounds.
- Pro: Unlimited focus sessions, expanded AI support and optional automated check-ins, plus more sound options and mixing. US subscription prices are $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year; your local price and terms appear before purchase.
- Lifetime is no longer sold; existing purchases remain valid.
Subscriptions and Payments
- All payments are processed through the Apple App Store.
- Payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm a purchase. There is no introductory offer.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.
- No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, though you may request refunds through Apple.
Optional AI and Account Backup
AI requests send task text and relevant context through our service to our AI provider. Optional account sync uploads session history, including task descriptions and AI first steps saved with those sessions. It does not back up every app setting or provide live timer handoff. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose as a personal focus and productivity tool. You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Redistribute or resell the App or its content
Intellectual Property
The App is provided by Gianlorenzo Ranieri. Its code, design, graphics, and audio are subject to applicable intellectual property rights. Third-party software components remain subject to their respective licenses.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Just Start is a productivity tool and is not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition, including ADHD. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gianlorenzo Ranieri shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data or interruption of service.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes are made.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
